Technical Laboratories and Central Occupational Safety

The Technical Laboratories (called Technikum) is a central facility for high-pressure reactions and the rectification and drying of organic solvents. The experimental autoclaves are usually manufactured by our own workshops and operated in specially enclosed pressure chambers. Glass vessels with a capacity of up to 50 L are available for pilot-scale preparations. In addition, about 1,500 liters of various solvents are distilled, cleaned and, if necessary, dried and degassed each month for all working groups. Another focus is the disposal of chemical waste, which amounts to approximately 35 tons per year.
