Beijing Symposium 2019 honors Walter Thiel on the occasion of his 70th birthday

Walter Thiel, emeritus director at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, will be honored with a three-day symposium on Electronic Structure and Dynamics of Complex Systems at the BNU University of Beijing from April 26 to 28, 2019.

The aim of the event is to present the latest research results on the electronic structure and dynamic simulations of complex systems and to bring together leading researchers and scientists from all over the world in the relevant fields of theoretical and computational chemistry. The program includes contributions to the development of methods and algorithms up to current applications in chemistry, biology and materials science. In Beijing, Walter Thiel will meet many companions from his long scientific career who are now established figures in theoretical chemistry and will lecture at the symposium.
