Solid-state NMR

Solid-state NMR spectroscopy is one of the major techniques for the characterisation of solid catalysts, functional materials and potential hydrogen storage materials synthesized at the MPI für Kohlenforschung. In recent years, solid-state NMR spectroscopy has particularly been applied for the characterisation of the following solids: (a) Catalysts and functional materials mainly based on mesoporous silicas or zeolites (29Si, 13C and 27Al); (b) Complex aluminium hydrides (27Al); (c) Materials obtained by ball milling (27Al, 13C and 29Si).
