Wolfgang Schmidt is the new Editor-in-Chief of "Microporous and Mesoporous Materials"

September 25, 2013

"Microporous and Mesoporous Materials" is a scientific journal of the Elsevier publishing Company. Its function is to publish articles on all aspects of nanoporous materials, ranging from the synthesis of such materials, via their physicochemical characterization to applications in typical areas such as heterogeneous catalysis, adsorption, separation, and active-compound transport systems.

The journal has now a new Editor-in-Chief: Dr Wolfgang Schmidt, scientist at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung and group leader in the Department of Heterogenous Catalysis. He has taken over this position from Michael Stöcker (SINTEF, Oslo). Dr Schmidt was associated to the Elsevier journal as Regional Editor Europe since 2011. He has been working as a researcher at our institute since 1998.
