The 10. Münster Symposium on Cooperative Effects in Chemistry last week offered a variety of interesting contributions, a well attended poster session and scientific awards for young researchers in chemistry. The MPI did really well and received two poster prices: Marc Heinrich and Oriol Planas received 1st and 2nd poster prizes for their work on “Total Synthesis of Putative Chagosensine” and “Bi(I)-catalyzed Transfer Hydrogenation with Ammonia Borane” respectively.

Dr. Josep Cornellà, Leader of the group of Sustainable Catalysis for Organic Synthesis received the Young Investigator Award of the University of Münster for his outstanding paper: “Selective Functionalization of Aminoheterocycles by a Pyrylium Salt”.
