The Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim an der Ruhr, founded in 1912, conducts basic research in chemistry and material science. It is a part of the Max Planck Society.  

The Hydrogen Storage/Mechanochemistry Group of the Department of Heterogeneous Catalysis is looking for a motivated

Postdoc researcher (f/m/d)
with expertise in mechanochemistry

to lead our efforts in synthesis and up-scaling of active pharmaceutical ingredients APIs) as part of the EU-funded project IMPACTIVE (https://mechanochemistry.eu/).

Qualification:

Ideal candidates need to have

  • a Phd in Chemistry or related fields
  • knowledge of mechanochemistry and characterization methods of organic and inorganic materials
  • interest in working on a pilot plant scale
  • excellent English language and communication skills

Conditions of employment:

The expected staring date is autumn 2024. The postdoc position is fully funded and contains a TVöD salary. The contract duration is up to 24 months.
