About 70 people jumped at the chance to get their first dose of Comirnay by Biontech

Mülheim „What a success!“ says Martin Schulz, vice president of Doc Net, the network of family doctors in Mülheim. He is quite content with the outcome of a free vaccination appointment that took place at the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung on Saturday. Many citizens came to the Lecture Hall Building to get a Biontech vaccination that day.

Approximately 70 people jumped at the chance to get their first dose of Comirnay by Biontech – and to have a chat with Mülheim’s new Nobel Laureate Benjamin List, director at the institute. The campaign took place under his patronage. As a Nobel Laureate he is getting a lot of requests these days, but supporting the family doctors’ campaign is a matter of personal importance to him, List explains: “I am convinced of the importance of the vaccination.” Society could be proud of the contribution that science has made by developing vaccines and drugs, days List. Many lives were saved already.

To get their second dose the participants can drop in at the doctor’s surgeries of Mülheim in a few weeks. Another vaccination event at the institute is not planned yet.
