Two apprentices of the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung were awarded by the chambers of industry and commerce (IHK) Essen

Every year, the chambers of industry and commerce (IHK) Essen awards apprentices in its region for outstanding performances during their apprenticeship. Among the 307 awardees of 2016 from Essen, Oberhausen and Mulheim, there are two apprentices from the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung: Alexander Woyk and Angus Rocha-Vogel who graduated with the best grade “sehr gut” just received an honoring by the president of the chambers of industry and commerce Essen, Jutta Kruft-Lohrengel.

Angus Rocha-Vogel who worked in the department of Ferdi Schüth will soon start to study chemistry while Alexander Woyk is working in the department of Dr. Claudia Weidenthaler as a physics laboratory technician. The institute is very proud of its two best apprentices and hopes to have as motivated and talented apprentices in the future.
