"The future elite": Chamber of Commerce honors trainee of the institute

Mülheim an der Ruhr / Oberhausen. Christian Wartke, technician apprentice at the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung, has been awarded by the Chamber of Commerce as one of the best trainees of this year. Together with 195 other students from various industries who have completed their apprenticeship with best results,  he has now been honored during a ceremony in Oberhausen.

"They are the future elite," said Jutta Kruft-Lohrengel, President of the Chamber of Commerce. The companies in the region are dependent on well-trained people, she sais. At the same time she reminded the young women and men that, according to the training should not be an end: "Think of your further education."

In the case of Christian Wartke this is pushing at an open door: he has already begun his Chemistry studies at the University of Cologne.
