The Award comes from Göttingen: Manuel Alcarazo is honored for his research

Dr. Manuel Alcarazo, research group leader at the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim, will receive the Akademiepreis für Chemie of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities. This award is endowed with 2500 Euro.

Manuel Alcarazo and his international group are working in the Department of Organometallic Chemistry. The jury states that he was chosen as an awardee in recognition of his achievements in the field of synthesis of new ligands and their applications in asymmetric homogenous catalysis. The award ceremony will take place during the annual meeting of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities at the university of Göttingen on November 16th. 

Manuel Alcarazo has already received several awards for his research, including the ADUC-Jahrespreis für Habilitanten in 2012 and the Dozentenstipendium of the Fund of the German Chemical Industry.
