Lab coat, not costume: 14 young people start apprenticeship on campus

14 young women and men have begun their apprenticeship at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion and the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung. During the next years they will be trained to be technicians and clerks.

"Whoever wants to do an apprenticeship with us, should be especially good at mathematics and be interested in science, "explains Petra Wedemann, who is responsible for the apprentices at the Kohlenforschung.

The training at the Max Planck Institutes has a high reputation. Trainees of the Institutes in Mülheim are among the best of the whole Max Planck Society.
