Girls' Day: More than 30 girls visited the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung

Tie up your long hair, put on your lab coat and safety glasses and off we go: It was Girls’ Day at the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung and more than 30 girls from Mülheim and the surrounding cities participated.

They came to have a close look at the work that is done here – and they also worked themselves: as glassblowers, precision mechanics or scientists.

Every year in April technical enterprises, enterprises with technical departments and technical training facilities, universities, and research centres are invited to organise this open day for girls.
