Open positions in the Marlow-Group (Nanostructures and Optical Materials)

If you are interested in photonic crystals, optical materials, photochemistry, or theory (solid state, excitations, wave propagation), you may send us an application. You should have not only interest in chemistry but also in physics or material science. Of course, depending on funding, there are not always free positions.

Mostly the positions are for PhD students or master students; in exceptional cases we also hire postdocs.

PhD students in our group are usually incorporated in the International Max Planck Research School "SurMat" or in the Research Cluster "RESOLV". Please see www.imprs-surmat.mpg.de or http://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/solvation/index.html.en, respectively.

Possible projects:

1. Opal formation and spectroscopic characterization of opals.

2. Electrical measurements and modelling of dye-sensitized solar cells and related systems (for physicists).

3. Fabrication of Janus particles.

4. Application of photocatalytic materials (Master student).
