ExpRes 2021: Scientific Symposium "Exploring Reactivity with Spectroscopy"

ExpRes 2021: Scientific Symposium

ExpReS 2021 aims to connect students, scientists, and industries to discuss research findings and current advance about the importance of spectroscopy for the understanding of structure/reactivity relationships and insights into catalytic mechanisms. The symposium will feature examples from the main branches of catalysis: Heterogeneous Catalysis, Homogeneous Catalysis, Bio-catalysis, and their industrial applications.

We are happy to announce our keynote lecturers:

  • Prof. Clare Grey (University of Cambridge): Developing and applying new tools to understand how materials for Li and “beyond-Li” battery technologies function
  • Prof. Lutz Gade (Universität Heidelberg): Homogeneous Stereoselective Catalysis and functional dye chemistry
  • Prof. Atsushi Urakawa (Delft University of Technology): Operando methodologies to understand catalytic activity on reactor scale

Prof. Serena DeBeer (MPI for Chemical Energy Conversion): Advanced X-ray spectroscopic methods
