MPI Directors Neese and Schüth are among the “highly cited researchers” 2018

These days Clarivate Analytics published its annual analysis of the most influential authors in science. The study "Highly Cited Reserachers" recognizes world-class researchers selected for their exceptional research performance, demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science. Professor Ferdi Schüth and Professor Frank Neese from the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung are also present.

With a total of 356 successful scientists, Germany ranks fourth among the scientific locations after the USA, Great Britain, and China. Among the research organisations, the Max Planck Society ranks fifth behind Harvard University (USA), the National Institutes of Health (USA), Stanford University (USA), and the Chinese Academy of Science.
