We mourn the loss of Prof. Gerhard Fink

Former Group Leader of the Institute has died

The Institute mourns the loss of Prof. Fink. He made significant contributions to Ziegler catalysts and polymer chemistry. 

The Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung mourns the loss of Prof. Dr. Dr. rer. nat. Gerhard Fink.

Prof. Fink joined the institute in 1980 and worked here as a research group leader for more than 20 years until his retirement in 2004. He made important, internationally recognized contributions to research on Ziegler catalysts and polymer chemistry. The Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung bids a grateful farewell to Gerhard Fink and will honor his memory. Our sympathy goes out to his family.
