Georgi L. Stoychev from the Neese Department receives the Turck-Prize 2018 for the promotion of young scientists

The Turck-Prize 2018 was awarded to Georgi L. Stoychev from the Department of Molecular Theory and Spectroscopy for the publication: Efficient and Accurate Prediction of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Shielding Tensors with Double-Hybrid Density Functional Theory (J. Chem. Theory Comput. 2018, 14, 4756-4771).

The award ceremony took place within the Institute Seminar. After a presentation of Xiang Sun of the Ritter Department Georgi Stoychev gave a talk on "Calculation of NMR chemical shifts with double-hybrid DFT". He received the cerficate from Professor Tobias Ritter who explained the jury's decistion: "We decided to honor Georgi L. Stoychev because his contribution to the prediction of nuclear resonance spectra is relevant for experimental and theoretical chemists."
