Dr. Harun Tüysüz receives Jochen-Block-Prize 2016

Dr. Harun Tüysüz, Group Leader for Heterogeneous Catalysis and Sustainable Energy at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, was awarded with the Jochen-Block-Prize of the German Catalysis Society e.V. (GeCatS). Tüysüz receives the prize for his prominent research effort on nanostructured multifunctional materials for catalytic applications. The presentation took place in March during the annual meeting of the German Catalysis Society in Weimar. The Jochen- Block-Prize is endowed with 3,000 Euros and goes to young researchers who have carried out fundamental and innovative investigations in the area of catalysis. The main focus of the research group of Dr. Harun Tüysüz is the design and development of multi-functional nanostructured materials for catalytic applications, particularly for solar energy conversion.
